Rpc Server Unavailable, Exchange Quota Service: Exchange 2003 SP2...
Installed the lastest verion of the Exchange Server Quota Message Service, now when I right click to Start Quota Maintenance in the ESM I get the above error. Have checked and made sure I copied the quota messagee to the root of the Quota Mailbox.
Tried this: Still not working...
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\MSExchangeQuotasvc\Parameters\common name
the value should be /cn=Recipients/cn=QMS

Hi
And what's result of this?
Can you use Outlook over RPC? Any other problems/issues?Jonas Andersson MCTS: Microsoft Exchange Server 2007/2010 | MCITP: EMA 2007/2010 | MCSE/MCSA Blog:

Hi,
Import the QuotaMessages from quotamsg.pst to the mailbox directly to Mailbox of
service account not to the Sub-folder of Inbox.
The folder must be at the root, not a subfolder of Inbox.
The Microsoft Exchange Server Quota Message
Service

If it is not the issue, then I recommend you to reconfigure quota Message
Service.
Besides, please check the application log and to see if yo have any error event logged there. You can post the detail error information here for further troubleshootings.

Xiu

Xiu, thanks for the answer.
I copied the 1033 folder to the root of the mailbox and it worked....before I copied the quota messages folder to the root of the malbox then tried to start the process but did not work and then tried to copy it to the inbox and
it did not work....I find the directions that i've read are not clear as to what folder you are supposed to copy to the root of the mailbox, but I've got it working so....
