Routing Problem
I have Exchange 2007 runing and working fine, I can recive/send emails to both internal and external user. But I have a very strange issie, if I take any mailbox and add a new mail address to it the emails to this new email can't be sent. For example lets say I have a user user1@mydomain.com and I add to this user a new email secondemail@mydomain.com then all the emails (both internal and external) to user1@mydomain.com will be recived but when an email will be sent to secondemail@mydomain.comit will retun this error: #550 5.1.1 RESOLVER.ADR.RecipNotFound; not found ## Any idea what can be the problem ? Thank you

Hi, This issue can be caused by the E-mail Address Policies or the GC replication. Please let me know how many GC do you have? Currently, please improve the level of the Diagnostics Logging in order to find whats the error came up in the process of Categorizer by viewing Event Log. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb201670(EXCHG.80).aspx Then post the error on the forum. Thanks Allen

I have 2 GCs What do I need to install on another GC in order to see in the user's properties in Active Directory exchange properties lik email address etc (I wan't to check that on this server the information is correct)? I think that GC replication can be the problem, becuase its for sure not E-mail Address Policies What is the best way to check that the replication works corectly ? Thanks.

Hi, Currently, I suggest we try to use ADSI Edit tool to check whether the new email was added into the users properties. Regarding the ADSI Edit tool, please locate it in the installation file of Exchange, you can view the article as the reference. http://technet2.microsoft.com/windowsserver/en/library/ebca3324-5427-471a-bc19-9aa1decd3d401033.mspx?mfr=true Then open the ADSI Edit in one of the GC, expand Domain, find the Users, expand it, right click the user1, select the Properties, find the proxyAddresses Attribute, check whether secondemail@mydomain.com email address places there. Then check another one GC also by ADSI Edit. Thanks Allen
