Rooms are autoaccepting meeting request when they shouldn't do in Exchange 2007
Hi, I'm facing a weird problem trying to configure some rooms in Exchange 2007 with in and out of policy manual approval. I mean, they have to forward all the meeting requests received to the corresponding delegate (there's only one delegate for all the rooms). No matter the policy they match, because the delegate will decide which requests will be approved and which won't. But if I set the below configuration, every time a room receives an 'In policy' request, the room automatically approves it without forwarding it to the delegate. However, if the room receives a 'Out of policy' request, then it forwards the request to the delegate (as it must be). My current rooms configurations is the following: AutomateProcessing : AutoAccept AllowConflicts : False BookingWindowInDays : 180 MaximumDurationInMinutes : 1440 AllowRecurringMeetings : False EnforceSchedulingHorizon : True ScheduleOnlyDuringWorkHours : False ConflictPercentageAllowed : 0 MaximumConflictInstances : 0 ForwardRequestsToDelegates : True DeleteAttachments : True DeleteComments : True RemovePrivateProperty : True DeleteSubject : True DisableReminders : True AddOrganizerToSubject : True DeleteNonCalendarItems : True TentativePendingApproval : True EnableResponseDetails : True OrganizerInfo : True ResourceDelegates : {Test Delegate} RequestOutOfPolicy : AllRequestOutOfPolicy : True BookInPolicy : AllBookInPolicy : False RequestInPolicy : AllRequestInPolicy : True AddAdditionalResponse : False AdditionalResponse : RemoveOldMeetingMessages : True AddNewRequestsTentatively : True ProcessExternalMeetingMessages : False DefaultReminderTime : 15 RemoveForwardedMeetingNotifications : False Identity : mydomain.com/Users/test_room On the other hand, if I set the AllRequestOutOfPolicy to false, then the rooms work fine: they forward all the 'In policy' requests received to the delegate and decline all the 'Out of policy' requests received. I'm pretty sure the problem is in my configuration. It seems to be fine for me, but obviously it isn't for achieve the functionality I want for my rooms. Can anyone help me? Thanks.

Hi RequestOutOfPolicy: List of users/groups that can submit an in-policy request for automatic approval; Out-of-policy requests are subject to approval by a resource mailbox delegate. The RequestOutOfPolicy setting is good for situation where certain users (CEO for example) that should never receive an automatic meeting decline. - Value is a String: SMTP address You can read this blog manage resource schedule. http://blogs.technet.com/b/exchange/archive/2007/05/14/3402515.aspx Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. Hi Terence, thank you very much for responding so quickly. You're right. I haven't read fine the AllRequestOutOfPolicy parameter description and it's true: it will approve automatically each 'In policy' request. I suppose I didn't pay attention to this. Anyway, is there any room configuration which allows a delegate to approve any kind of request (in & out of policy) received by the room?

Hi You can read Meeting request with manual approval paragraph http://www.msexchange.org/articles_tutorials/exchange-server-2007/management-administration/managing-resource-mailboxes-exchange-server-2007-part3.html I can’t find article about “(in & out of policy)”. I'm sorry Terence, but I've unmarked as answer your second post because it didn't solve my problem. You have just linked pages which explain how to configure room mailboxes, but not the configuration I was looking for. So I don't think this post could be mark as answer yet.
