Using Exchange 2007 SP3 . The Room button has not been working for some of the users and getting an empty window. Observed that systems running native Japanese OS and English OS with Japanese language pack on that. while investigation more on this found out that the language Format in the Region and Language settings is the culprit of this weird behavior of GAL, but this is not the issue with GAL so what needs to be done from the client side to fix the issue permanently .

more info on this when you change from english to Japanese, it will set to these parameters now check this out, Additional settings button, Sorting tab by default the sorting method is set to XJIS now when change it to the other value 'Radical/Stroke' and apply after that all the rooms will display under the All rooms in OUTLOOK. Hi Check is there any third party addons in your outlook, disable it then try again. Is there some hotfix or patch (outlook) can fix this issue ?? and as i mentioned when we change the sorting method then if will display all .. :-(
