Room and equipment, bookinpolicy with dynamic distribution group.
(Exchange 2007 RTM & SP1)
When usingEMSto control who can book a resource, eg:
Set-MailboxCalendarSettings -Identity 'The Room' -AllBookInPolicy $false -BookInPolicy 'Distribution group'
... the distribution group seems to must be a Mail-Enabled Universal Distribution Group. When using a Dynamic Distribution Group, members of that group can not book the resource. Is this as it should be? 90% of our distribution groups are dynamic.
If I use a Mail-Enabled Universal Distribution Group which only contains a Dynamic Distribution Group, members of that groupcan book the resource...
Anyone?

This is the answer from Microsoft:
Problem:
"Room and equipment, booking policy with dynamic distribution group
You could only make booking a resource to work if you were using a Mail-Enabled Universal Distribution Group and your question was if this could be by design. Your concern was having many Dynamic Distribution Groups.
Resolution:
Mail-enabled non-universal groups are de-emphasized in Exchange 2007, only mail enabled universal groups are supported, so you have to change all Dynamic Groups to Universal Groups.
