Room Resource does not Auto Accept - waits for Delegate to approve - Anonymous missing on Calendar permissions
Hello, I have a room resource that was migrated from Exchange 2007 to Exchange 2010. I have checked and re-checked all the settings, it is set to AutoAccept, there is a delegate (although settings are such that a delegate really isn't needed). Everyone can book the room if available, no one has to get delegate approval. Yet, every meeting is forwarded to the delegate (the box is ticked in Exchange to do that) and sits and waits for the delegate to approve it. When meetings are cancelled, the meeting has to be manually removed from the room calendar. There are no direct booking settings on the calendar. I have tried many things, including creating a brand new calendar and testing it with the same settings as the malfunctioning calendar - the new calendar works exactly as it should - you can invite the room and the you get a message back saying your meeting is approved, the meeting goes right to the calendar without any delegate approval. One thing I did notice is that the room calendar is missing the anonymous/none permission. The new calendar I created does have it. I have tried to use ExFolders to add the anonymous user back in - but in ExFolders, the anonymous user is there, even though it's missing on the Outlook properties/permissions tab, and you also don't see it by doing a get command in powershell to see the mailbox folder/calendar permissions. I have tried and tried to get ExFolders to add it back in - it appears to work, but it just doesn't. Does anyone know how I can get the anonymous user back other than using ExFolders? Does anyone have any other ideas on why the calendar is malfunctioning? Thanks!Jan

Why do you have a delegate on the resource mailbox if you dont use it? Dont know what the permission should be, but it looks loke you're missing something or the ACL has been screwed up. you can give the account a password, enable it, logon the the mailbox with outlook and change the permission as you please and see if ACL is reset to a working state. has inherited permission on the AD account been disabled?Lasse Pettersson http://anewmessagehasarrived.blogspot.com
