Room Mailbox Tentatively Accepts Forwarded Meeting Invitations
We are encountering an issue with Room Mailboxes, which are tentatively accepting meeting invitations that are forwarded to them. Some of them are from external people (non-employees), and the rest from internal employees. As an example: An employee is sent a meeting invitation from an external person, but no Room or other resoure is chosen. Our internal user then forwards this to one of our Room Mailboxes, which tentatively accepts the meeting, dumps the forwarded email to its Deleted Items, and does not send a response to the user who forwarded the invitation in the first place. This causes issues for us when those individuals then show up to use the room and it has already been (correctly) invited and reserved by another staff member (they send requests, and the Room auto-replies and reserves the time if available). How can we prevent forwarded appointments from being tentatively accepted by our Room Mailboxes? I've tried the following settings, none of which changed this behavior: Automatically place new meeting requests on my calendar, marked Tentative (Checked and Unchecked, behavior unchanged) Move notifications about forwarded meetings to the Deleted Items folder (Checked and Unchecked, behavior unchanged) Is it expected behavoir for an automated Room Mailbox to tentatively accept appointments that are Forwarded to it? This seems like odd behavior to us, as it is a very easy source of conflict over resources which are, in effect, double-booked. We are Exchange 2007, Version 08.01.0240.006, with Update Rollup 10 installed. In all other respects, our Room Mailboxes are behaving as expected. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

Just wondering if this belongs in another forum, or if I've stumped everyone. :) I see quite a few views, but still looking for a resolution if any experts have had experience with this. Thanks in advance!
