Room-Booking: Leaving private tag but showing who sent the invitation
Hi everybody ::::::::::::::::::: Exchange 2010, SP1 Office 2010 ::::::::::::::::::: Is there a way that when I send an invitation to a meeting room (or ressource: Car, etc.), I can mark it as private and it shows up as private but the name of the organizator is still written there also? I need this so I can manage cars and say, they are used private over the weekend. The person, who has to manage our car knows who uses cars private and can may be change an important business task for a car reserved. Thanks for your help. Alex

Hi Schwerzmann, Per my known, there is not a tag like you referred, but may be you could do some development. I would create a company rule as below: If any one use the resource for the company, they must describle what their purpose in the subject of the meeting request. Then any one could check the resources are used by someone due to their private things or company's important business. After confirm that, they could phone them to change their calendar item. Hi Gavin Thanks for your answer. I was thinking about it and I'm not sure, if this helps: Our company is international, so I would have to manage may be 5 languages and as always, when user type in something, we have the factor human. I thought, I could do a transport rule: if any calendar item is sent with "private" (which you can check in the invitation), the transport rule adds "Private: " in front of the subject. The bad news is, that there's no official Microsoft Transport Predicate for "private" does anybody know, how I could create one? http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa995960(EXCHG.80).aspx Thanks Alex

Hi Alex, In my opinion, we maybe could achieve your target through the development. Or other third party software. I am sorry for there is no a directly way to achieve that. Or you could open a ticket from MS for more help. Regards! Hi Community I just wanted to share, how we solved it finally (it's not a perfect solution, but it works without coding). We setup multiple calendars: The resource (ie. a car) A general calendar which gets everything, which has been sent to the resources in copy (#1) A general calendar which gets everything, which has been sent to the resources in copy (#2) On the second calender, I untake all private tags and I allow conflicting requests. Like that, I get an overview, which resource has been booked when and by who (but I can't see, which one was privat. On the third calendar, I leave the private tag. Like that, I can compare these two and so I know then, which "Private Reservation" has been done by who. In resources, I leave the private tag too. Hope, it helps. I'll close this request now! Thanks a lot for your help! Schwerzmann
