Rollback from Exchange 2010 to 2003
HiCan someone point me in the direction of a procedure to uninstall exchange 2010. Exchange 2010 is currently coexisting with 2003. I have moved all mailboxes back to Exchange 2003, deleted all arbitration mailboxes off the exchange 2010 box. When trying to uninstall I get the following error:Summary: 3 item(s). 2 succeeded, 1 failed.Elapsed time: 00:01:27 Mailbox Role PrerequisitesFailed Error:Uninstall cannot continue. Yes I did see Amit's response but that is about removing the arbitration mailboxes. I have already done that. I can't use the manual removal as it says that it will affect any currently installed exchange 2003 servers.

Delete the mailbox database before deleting the public folder database so there's no dependency.-- Ed Crowley MVP"There are seldom good technological solutions to behavioral problems.". Hi,The prerequisite checks performed by the mailbox role uninstall process prevent the removal of the public folder database if the database contains any public folder replicas, no matter what type they are. Please try to use he cmdlt below to check the replica, if there are more than one replica in the list, then we can simply remove the replica from the list, if not, then we have move the replica to other public folder database first and then delete it.Get-PublicFolderStatistics -Server <servername> | Get-PublicFolder | fl Name,Replicas,ParentPath Configure Public Folder Replicationhttp://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb691120.aspxRegards,Xiu

True, but the error reported was that the public folder store was asssigned as a default store on a mailbox store, not that it contained replicas.-- Ed Crowley MVP"There are seldom good technological solutions to behavioral problems.". Hi, From the output, the replica is only on MCTDC01, it is on exchange 2010,is that true? Then I recommend you to add Exchange 2003 to the public folder replica list. Configure Public Folder Replication http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb691120.aspx Regards, Xiu
