Retention Policy for Meeting Request
We have a 7 day retention policy for our deleted items folder. When a meeting request is accepted it is place on the calendar and the request itself goes to the deleted items. Now the request in the calendar says "This item will expire in "X" days. To keep this item longer apply a different Retention Policy. I'm I doing something wrong or is there a workaround?

If you have retention policy for your resource mailbox, by default it is applied to calendar and tasks.

You need to modify the registry given in the article to exclude calendar and tasks items being applied for retention policy

I guess it holds good for Exchange 2013 also.
