Retention Policy

Hi,

Need urgent help.

I created a retention tag to delete emails from deleted items. I chose "Delete and Allow recovery" as the retention action and the retention period is 4 days. Created retention policy and selected the tag and applied to a mailbox for testing. I also ran Start-ManagedFolderAssistant -Identity on the mailbox to run immediately. The reason I chose "Delete and Allow recovery" is I want users to be able to recover from the recoverable items.

Closed outlook and open again and I see the policy applied. But the emails are not deleted from the deleted items folder. When I open one of the email, it says the item is expired. Please help.

Please advise.

Hi,

Please check this issue in OWA.

Are there any other retention tags in that retention policy?

Please create the same retention tag on other folder (like inbox, sent items ) to check this issue.
