Restricting delivery to disty groups
HelloI've got a small config requirement that I can't figure out with Ex 2007.... We have an "All Staff" dynamic distribution list, which only certain members can send to. This is set up in the delivery restrictions tab on the group. It is set up as an explicit allow (top box) as there are only 6 allowed or so out of a couple of thousand staff. Now, if you send to it and aren't allowed, you don't get notification that you can't. I would like to set it up so that you do get an NDR of some type but have no idea how (I looked at Hub Trasport Rules but couldn't see an abvious way). I don't want to reject messages from everyone (as there are way too many to include) - the rule is set up OK, I just need it to bounce NDRs if people can't send to the list. If you can reject all message except for those from the list, then that would be fine too...Any ideas?Cheers

This should send an NDR by default. Notice the bounce back when I try to send to a group that I am not allowed to: From: System Administrator Sent: Tuesday, June 10, 2008 9:28 PMTo: Crowley, MikeSubject: Undeliverable: New Microsoft "Master" Certification Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients. Perhaps you've disabled NDRs on a global level?

Hi, We need to verify whether the NDR was generated or just not received after generating the NDR. Please enable Message Tracking from the following link: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa997984(EXCHG.80).aspx And send it to allensyr2003@hotmail.com Thanks Allen
