Restricting Users from sending in Bulk to Distribution groups
When I go to the General Tab - Message Restrictions - Accept messages:
I get four options: * From Authenticated Users only - From Everyone - Only From - From Everyone Except Now, all these options are for 'Accept Messages' for a particular DG. For example I have DGs say - From ONE to TEN, TEN being the DG of Executive Management.
To TEN, I do not want anyone out of these 2000 employees to do mass select in his/her To: field and shoot a derogatory/unwanted email irrespective of repurcussions involved. I want to stop it at the originating level. If I go to DG TEN, properties, set DG TEN to recieve ONLY from DG TEN, then they would not be able to recieve from anyone except their own members. Now let's say, I create another DG. Say DG ELEVEN. DH ELEVEN contains all HOD, Managers, Line managers etc., I mean, the trusted guys. These will also be memebers of either of the ONE to TEN groups. I restrict DG TEN to recieve only from DG TEN and ELEVEN. Given the fact that some members of DG ELEVEN are also members of DG ONE to NINE from which TEN is NOT accepting emails, will DG ELEVEN members mail go though?? I hope it's not too confusing, at least I tried to make it simple?
