Restrict user from deleting mail
Hello All, I was wondering how to change user account permission so that he cannot delete mail from his account...! He should be able to read mail but not delete mail..! I'm running exchange 2003 Thanks Rao

You would need to not make him an owner of the mailbox, then grant him delegate access to the inbox folder as Reviewer. Mark Morowczynski|MCT| MCSE 2003:Messaging, Security|MCITP:EMA 2K7,EDA Win 7,ES,SA,EA|MCTS:Windows Mobile Admin|Security+|http://almostdailytech.com

Hi, By default Users are the owner of their mailboxes and get full mailbox permission on it therefore we cannot deny them any operation on folders inside mailboxes. For this issue, you can use Archive feature or Journaling to workaround this issue. Thanks Allen
