yes you can use the NTBACKUP utility to restore mail box store. Broadly the steps will be 1. Create RSG.2. Restore the backup.3. Exmerge the mail box that you want to to be restored.Step by Step http://www.petri.co.il/restore_exchange_2000_2003_with_ntbackup.htmRaj

Good day Raj, It is possible to restore the backup Mailbox Store with different server name or not the previous server name of exchange server ex. "srv_exch" to be restored to the new exchange server "srv_exch1"? and also with different domain name from "mydomain.com" to "mynewdomain.com"? Cheers...

No, this is not possible. If you are trying to do this, this will result in failure of the restore. The best way to do this restore it on test lab (with the same server name , storage group and store name) , exmerge every thing out and the put it back on the new server name. http://forums.msexchange.org/m_1800500406/printable.htmRaj

Good day Raj, Another confirmation if I will restore the backup Mailbox Store to the same domain name and server name do I need to have existing users on Active Directory Users and Computers with the last time I backed up all the Mailbox Store? what I mean is do I have to get also all the users in order to restore all the Mailboxes of each users? But same domain name, and same existing users which is the Exchange Server is Member Server or Additional Domain Controller with other name server can possibly move Mailboxes without using NTBACKUP, just have moving all Mailboxes at Exchange Manager, on Mailboxes, then select all then Exchange Task...,then Move Mailbox to new Exchange Server... Cheers...

yes, you need to have all the users. Best way is to use csivde and pull all the user from the ols AD and then import it back on the new AD. So in this case you will be able to get all the users without much of manual work.Didnt quite got the seconmd statment. Raj

With Exchange 2007 you would use a "Recovery Storage Group".
