Restore storage group
Hi,We use exchange 2003 running on Windows 2003. Every night the mail store is backed up using backup exec. We now want to restore the file back to recover some mail in a mailbox. The only problem his the file is now two big to fit on the exchange server. Apart from installing exchange onto another server how can we get to the data?ThanksMark

Hi Peter,Why don't you share a network drive of another server temporary which has space & connected through high bandwidth and while configuring Recovery Storage Group give the path to network drive to restore the database for your mail recovery.Nice step by step instructions are given here if you are not really aware of.http://blogs.technet.com/asksbs/archive/2008/06/03/how-to-use-the-recovery-storage-group-to-restore-a-single-mailbox.aspxAmit Tank | MVP - Exchange | MCITP:EMA MCSA:M | http://ExchangeShare.WordPress.com
