Restarting computer causes Outlook 2013 POP junk mail filter to stop working

Outlook 2013 and 2010 lose the junk filter settings every time the computer is reset.

I have a ton of junk mail on one of my POP3 accounts and having the Outlook junk mail filter setup with "Safe lists only", all mail not in my contact or safe list is directed to the junk mail folder. This works perfectly when the POP3 account is first setup. BUT, every time the Windows 7 machine is shutdown or rebooted, this filter is somehow disabled and all junk mail begins to show in the In box.

I have to remove the POP3 account and re-set it back up, and the filter works again.

What could be causing this issue? It is a pain to keep having to do this every time the computer has to be re-started.

Hi,

What does "this filter is somehow disabled" mean? Does it mean the Junk option is grayed out on the Ribbon?

Are you using a computer with some group policy set up or some startup script set?

When the filter is disabled, please locate the following registry key and check if the DisableAntiSpam registry key is exist. If so, please check what value is set to DisableAntiSpam. Value of 1 disables the junk filter, 0 enables it.

Please feel free to post back and let me know the result.

I'm having the same problem. The junk filter is active but the setting reverts from High, to which I manually set it, back to the default... No automatic filtering. So the filter works while I'm signed on during the day, but when i sign back on the next morning, i am greeted by 8-10 junk mail items in my Inbox. This has not always been the case. I'd say it's been two-three weeks. If you don't believe this is a bug but a conflict of some sort, please suggest a fix.

Did a search. Never showed a result.

I can't set the POP accounts to "Safe Lists Only" and still get spam showing in the inbox. Some goes to Junk folder buy most goes to Inbox.

Nothing is greyed out or turned off manually.

It is like the system just doesn't really function.
