Resource mailboxes
hi all, im struggling to grasp the concept of a resource mailbox. I need to create a number of shared calendars for my users to use for booking rooms etc. However what if one single person will not accept the responsibility for managing the resource mailbox? Is there a way to create a resource mailbox and just let it sit there and be used without the need for someone to administer it? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

Hi You can set the mailboxes to automatically accept appointments if that would help: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb123495.aspx Steve

Another item that usually gets people is the Booking Window. It's set to 180 days by default, and for calendars where people want to schedule out indefinitely, or even just a year out, it can be a problem. Keep it in mind! Reference: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd335046.aspx BookingWindowInDays The BookingWindowInDays parameter specifies the maximum number of days in advance that the resource can be reserved. Valid input is an integer from 0 through 1080. When the value is set to 0, the resource can be reserved at any date in the future.
