Resource mailbox / Delegate declines meeting
Hello, We wish to set up meeting rooms in a particular way and wondering if this can be done becuase I am currently having problems. We wish to have users create a meeting oom request which involves booking a room and a resource. When the room is booked the receptionist (who is a delegate of the room) accepts the meeting. If a resource is requested the resource then automatically accepts the meeting. The above is currently working. However, if the receptionist DECLINES the meeting, the resource does not get this information and continues to stay in it's respective calendar. How does the resource receive confirmation that the meeting has been declined? Does the receptionist also need to be a delegate for the resource? If so, she would need to decline the meeting from multiple calendars which would be cumbersome. The version of Exchange is 2007 SP1 Any help would be appreciated. Luke

Hi Luke, If you all use receptionist to accept the meetings, you can set resource mailbox not to "tentatively accept these requests". Use this way, resource mailboxes will not add the meeting request to their calendar before the meeting request is approved by the delegate, and when delegate decline the meeting, they no need to remove the meeting from resource mailbox. Evan, Sounds sensible. What happens when the meeting is accepted and then cancelled. I take it there is now way to then send the cancellation to the resource as well? Luke

Hello Luke, If your delegate accept the meeting request, it will add to resource calendar. When meeting organizer cancelled the meeting, your resource mailbox will cancel that meeting.
