Resource Mailboxes and Forwarding Calendar information between resources
Hi all, Quick question. We are looking at a solution for users that currently are having to fill 3 calendar's out in their solution. They put their information in their own calendar, then insert information into the general calendar so everyone knows where they are and then there is a meeting room calendar for the meeting room. This requires them to fill out 2 or 3 calendars. I have been looking at sorting this issue out the following way through exchange 2007 using resource mailboxes: General Calendar: - Allow multiple bookings at the same time (people can see where others are) - Auto Accept invites from the users - Reply with notification that the booking has been inserted into the account Meeting Room Calendar: - Auto Accept invites from the users - Do not allow multiple bookings at the same time - Reply with notification if the booking was sucessful or not However to solve the double booking issue, I am hoping to find a way to propigate what is booked in the Meeting Room Calendar to appear in the General Calendar. So they only need to make one booking to reflect this in the general calendar. Can a rule be created to auto fill out the general calendar illustrating that the resource has been booked for the meeting room. Any idea's if this is possible using resource mailboxes or if i should look for other solutions? Regards, Michael

The only automatic way I know of to do this is for them to use the meeting planner and invite the general and meeting room calendars, and to implement automatic booking on those two calendars. -- Ed Crowley MVP "There are seldom good technological solutions to behavioral problems." .
