Resource Mailbox
I have recently migrated from 2003 to 2007. In my 2003 environment, I had defined a custom address list for all the resources in my environment. It was used mainly for conference room scheduling. The address list was called 'All Resources'. I moved this list over to the 2007 environment. But the resources are no longer showing up in this address list. The list is empty. On Exchange, the members are defined as 'Resource Mailboxes'. My thought is that my legacy mailboxes don't have the Resource attribute set on them. Is there a way to use ADSI Edit to change an attribute on my legacy mailbox to make them 2007 Resource Mailboxes? Or do I have to delete all of my legacy resource accounts and re-create them as 2007 resource mailboxes? Thanks.

I think this will help: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb201749.aspx It is to an article that goes over how to run a cmdlet to change the attributes from a simple mailbox to a resource, room, etc. I just did some initial testing, it worked well, but I also had to run a cmdlet to get the mailbox to autoaccept invitations again. I found that cmdlet to activate the auto accept in the Exchange Help files at resource mailboxes, enabling automatic booking. Here's a copy: Set-MailboxCalendarSettings <Identity> -AutomateProcessing:AutoAccept You may have to wait for directory objects to replicate before all the features start to function properly (or force replication between your DC's). Also, you may want to do some testing to see how the new resource handles appointments and notifications. One of the first things we found out was that when you cancel a meeting request that a Resource is invited to as a Resource, it shows cancelled on the Resource calendar but no longer sends back an acknowledgement that it has accepted the cancellation. Hope it helps. Jim@Work

Jim, This looks like it did the trick. I do see an issue with resourcesaccepting cancellations but I'll work on that. Thanks.
