Resource Lists - Conference Rooms
Thanks again for the reference pages, Rich. It's a shame we can't take advantage of this and other attributes that are so important to account management. But moving on to the subject of resource lists and conf rooms in particular. Is there a white paper on how this locator functionality works ... under the covers? I ask because it could affect the way we design our naming standards, as well as our list memberships, to leverage this functionality. I realize that group affiliation can be used to locate objects, but I are there are other methods, such as hierachical OU placement. Would this new functionality supersede previous methods?

Hi, First, I would like to confirm the following questions: 1. Which version of Exchange server is installed, Exchange 2007 or Exchange 2010? 2. What does the sentence “we can't take advantage of this and other attributes that are so important to account management” and “This Locater functionality” mean? Do you mean that you cannot configure Resource mailbox list? To manage Resource Mailbox in Exchange 2010, you can refer to the following technet article. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb124374.aspx Thanks.
