Resource Delegates Meeting rescheduling and room changing
Me again, ;} Is there anyway to grant a user that is a resource delete and has full access to a conference room reschedule, or move rooms for a users meeting? Example User1 has a meeting with User2 in Room1 at 8:00 a.m. Delegate1 has full access and is a resource delegate of Room1 and Room2 Deletegate1 needs to move the meeting from 8:00 to 10:00, or to Room2 Thanks alot..

The first part of your question is confirgurable and possible too. For other part of the question where you want to move those messages from one mailbox to another, it may not be possible so easily.Yet, forwarding a meeting request to another mailbox should work. The delegate has to make sure that the meeting organizer is added into the new forwarded message and does accept the newly moved meeting too. MMilind Naphade | MCTS:M | http://www.msexchangegeek.com

My apologies, this is an Exchange 2007 SP1 environment. Forwarding may work but the meeting will then have 2 rooms.

Simulation: Jack B has a meeting with Renee W in Room 23.1 at 11: 00 AM James has "Full Access" permission on Room 23.1 and Room 23.2 Scenario 1: Change meeting time from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM a. Launch outlook, go to James' Calendar folder. Use "Open a Shared Calendars" option to open the Calendar folders of Room 23.1 and Room 23.2 b. Open the meeting request item on the calendar of Room 23.1 c. Click "Propose New Time" and send the proposal to the organizer (Jack) d. Now, launch outlook for Jack, he will receive the proposal mail from Room 23.1. after he click Accept Proposal button and Send Update, all time will be updated among the room, organizer and participator Notes: We can change the meeting time directly into the Room 23.1, however, since the room isnt the organizer of the meeting, it cant send the alert to update the time for all attendants. It is by design Scenario 2: Move meeting request from Room 23.1 and Room 23.2 Per my testing and research, its similar to scenario 1, we can move the meeting request, but not update the change to all attendants, since Room is not the organizer of the meeting I think the only way we can do is decline the meeting request in the old room and ask the organizer of the meeting to change the room in the decline message

James will be able to change it as he is the organizer, but in my can user1 and user2 do not have full access. Only Delegate1 does, we need to have Delegate1 who is not even on the meeting be able to change the room / time.

In this scenario, James isnt the organizer of the meeting, he just a user who has the Full Access permission on the room mailboxes, just like the Delegate1 in your case Lets say, User1 sends a meeting request to User2, User1 booked Room1. Now the time need to be changed by Delegate1, so we use Delegate1s credential to log into Room1s mail profile since Delegate1 has the Full Access permission on Room1, Propose New Time after Delegate1 opens the meeting item. Then, User1 will receive the message to ask him to reschedule the time The reason why Delegate1 cant just simple reschedule the time or room is that Delegate1 isnt the organizer, so cant send update of the time or room change to the meeting item in all attendants Calendar, its not expected behavior. So, Delegate1 needs to Propose New Time (For time) or Decline meeting (For room) to the organizer, let organizer to reschedule the meeting
