Resource-Mailboxes: delegates cant approve the requests
Hey there, after months of searching all over i hope you can help me. Scenario: Exchange 2007 SP3 Server with >1000 Clients (Outlook 2007 SP2) a room was setup as "Room A". Users b,c and d were set as delegates for the rooms, and recieve the emails to approve the room-requests coming in. Room A was setup to forward the incoming booking-requests to the delegates for approval. user b opens up an incoming request of user E and got no chance to click on allow/deny cause the buttons disappers immediatly and the blue I-Icon shows: "recieved for room A, You dont need to answer, the calender was updated automatically" some additonal facts: User a and c didnt open up the request before user b. User a is in vacation (with activated away-agent) and the other user is just away. User a, b and c are allowed to book the ressource room A automatically themselfs. (perhaps this is the cause ?) The questions i have: 1. Why is user b not able to answer the request / why appears the blue "just for your information"-button ? 2. Is it possible to change the system, so the approval-buttons change into the blue-button only when a, b or c has really answered to the request. (not only open it up) 3. How is the mechanism working? Whats about it? Is there any white paper? Is there "best-Practice-setup" out there ? Hope you can help me, i really appreciate it... Thanks! kindest regards Joel

Xiu, Thanks for your response! Here are the settings: AutomateProcessing : AutoAccept AllowConflicts : False BookingWindowInDays : 540 MaximumDurationInMinutes : 4320 AllowRecurringMeetings : True EnforceSchedulingHorizon : True ScheduleOnlyDuringWorkHours : False ConflictPercentageAllowed : 0 MaximumConflictInstances : 0 ForwardRequestsToDelegates : True DeleteAttachments : True DeleteComments : True RemovePrivateProperty : True DeleteSubject : True DisableReminders : True AddOrganizerToSubject : True DeleteNonCalendarItems : True TentativePendingApproval : False EnableResponseDetails : True OrganizerInfo : True ResourceDelegates : {1 User} RequestOutOfPolicy : AllRequestOutOfPolicy : False BookInPolicy : {1 Group} AllBookInPolicy : False RequestInPolicy : AllRequestInPolicy : True AddAdditionalResponse : True AdditionalResponse :
Thank you
RemoveOldMeetingMessages : True AddNewRequestsTentatively : True ProcessExternalMeetingMessages : False DefaultReminderTime : 15 RemoveForwardedMeetingNotifications : False Identity : (Name) I cant discover any causes. What could cause the upper described behavior else? could be a bug? The problem appears randomly. The first moment, she CAN approve/deny the request and 1 Minute later, she cant do so due to the blue notify button. i hope you have some ideas left ? ;)

Hi, thanks for your response. i checked the permissions. There are only domain administrators etc. listed for full access. The delegates are not listed for full access. The delegates got read/write permissions to the calender, but not to the inbox. Other others got read-permissions to the calender. The issue occurs just BEFORE she can hit "approve" or "deny". She just open the email up, and the blue "I" appears immedietly. :( i cant imagine whats wrong with it. You ? EDIT: What do i have to check at the DC`s ? The HUB/CAS/MBX-Server are in a second full trusted domain. Which wrong setting could cause this behavior ? Thanks!
