Resetting the Address Book in Outlook
I installed Exchange 2003 on the server, connected the workstation, and imported all the Outlook/Exchange user info using export/import (instead of migration). The user now does not default to the contacts forlder on the Exchange, but, instead connects to its local Address Book (Contacts) which is empty. Is ther a way to reset the path to contacts folder in Outlook so that when it recognizes the contact info?

You can do this in the Outlook client by going to the Tools, Address book then inside that windowTools, Options. This should give you the choice to select the first displayed contact folder and where to store personal contacts. Cheers, Rhys

When I go to Options > Contacts, I get a window listing the preferences for outlook, amongst which Contacts is one and has two buttons to choose from - Contact Options and Jurnal Options. Contacts Options has two sectionsnone of which is related to select what contact file source. Same with Jurnal entries. To reitterate - the problem is in Outlook 2003 when I click on my contacts icon I can see my contacts fine; but, if I wanted to send an email to someone from the contacts list the contacts lists show they are empty. How do I fix this problem?

OK, you have to first get the Outlook Address Book window displayed by opening Outlook and going in to Tools, Address Book. Once a separate Address Book windows pops up, select Tools and then Options on that Window. You should then see the options I mentioned in the other email. One more thing to check would be that your contacts folder is set to show up in the Address Book. To check this, open Outlook, switch to Folder List view, right click Contacts, Properties, Outlook Address Bookand ensure there is a tick next to "Show this Folder as an Email Address Book".
