Required Ldifde.exe for Exch07 on Windows 2008
Hello I'm trying to install Exchange Server 2007 (Standard)on windows 2008 (standard) on anew machine I have this error, tried to run the command 'ServerManagerCmd -i RSAT -ADDS but all I got was a quick black screen up then dissapear and when I tried to reinstall, same error occurred Not sure what else I need to do, thanks in advanced Tam The error: The Active Directory Schema is not up-to-date and Ldifde.exe is not installed on this computer. You must install Ldifde.exe by running 'ServerManagerCmd -i RSAT-ADDS' or restart setup on a domain controller.

Hi, Please try to use Windows user Interface to install Active Directory Domain Services. Detail steps you can refer to the article below: Installing or Removing the Remote Server Administration Tools Pack http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc730825.aspx Besides, please check event log (run eventvwr from a command to open event viewer) and post error event here. Hi run the following command from run menu ServerManagerCmd -i RSAT-ADDS and it will give you message like start installation succeeded and count numbers wait till numbers is end then it is very important to restart the Computer then try again to install the exchange server

Hi it work fine .. Go to Command Prompt ServerManagerCmd -i RSAT-ADDS and it will give you message like start installation succeeded and count numbers wait till numbers is end then it is very important to restart the Computer
