Requesting Assistance with Outlook Office 365

Hi,

I'm a new administrator of Outlook Office 365. Supporting Exchange Server 365.

Cannot remove a gmail acct from outlook office 365.....

I added a gmail acct to one of our existing outlook office 365 accts. using the option "Connected Accounts". Now I want to remove it.

I removed the gmail acct using the connected accounts option...That worked, but, when I checked the folder listing: Inbox, Send, etc.., the gmail folder is still there. Plus all the gmail emails have integrated with the exchange acct it was added too. I tried to delete it by right clicking on it and the delete option is shaded out.

Tried: Logging off, closing the web browser (firefox) and reopening it and logging back in and the same thing the gmail folder is still there. If I'm able to delete this folder, since it has integrated its self with the exchange acct. Will it remove all emails from the gmail and the exchange acct.

Can you help.....

Removing a connected account will not remove any messages already copied. You will have to do so manually.

I don't remember any setting to configure a folder when adding a connected account however, most likely you have used some Inbox rule for that. And you can use something similar to filter out any copied messages - filtering on the "To" address will certainly be an option.

Hi,

I have noticed you can't remove a gmail account on office 365.

I understand that the issue is related to Office 365 side.

So I suggest we can ask a question in Office 365 forum for more help:
