Reply function replaces domain address of Recipient and mail will not forward!!!
Our company has an Exchange 2007 server which forwards e-mails to our parent company for distribution to the outside world. For example our local domain is "abc-usa.com" and our parent company "abc.com". Our exchange server name is: "sr0001.abc-usa.com" So if you were to send me an email you would address it to anthony.am@abc.com and I would recieve the e-mail. The problem now is if someone sends me an e-mail and I click reply their email adrress gets changed to our domain name and the mail will not forward. Example: John@www.com sends to my e-mail address an e-mail. Sender: john.someone@www.com Receiver: anthony.am@abc.com When I click the reply button in Outlook, here is what the header of the email now looks like: Sender: anthony.am@abc.com Receiver: johnsomeone@abc-usa.com The original senders e-mail domain gets replaced with my local domain name. Here is what the error message looks like: Diagnostic information for administrators: Generating server: sr0001.abc-usa.com IMCEAEX-_O=FIRST+20ORGANIZATION_OU=EXCHANGE+20ADMINISTRATIVE+20GROUP+20+28FYDIBOHF23SPDLT+29_CN=RECIPIENTS_CN=Mark+2Egrupp@abc-usa.com#550 5.1.1 RESOLVER.ADR.ExRecipNotFound; not found ## Original message headers: Received: from sr0001.abc-usa.com ([99.34.60.6]) by sr0001.abc-usa.com([99.34.60.6]) with mapi; Thu, 20 Mar 2008 10:13:27 -0500Content-Type: application/ms-tnef; name="winmail.dat"Content-Transfer-Encoding: binaryFrom: "Mahnke, Kai" <Kate.Man@abc.com>To: "Grupp, Mark"<IMCEAEX-_O=FIRST+20ORGANIZATION_OU=EXCHANGE+20ADMINISTRATIVE+20GROUP+20+28FYDIBOHF23SPDLT+29_CN=RECIPIENTS_CN=Mark+2Egrimes@abc-usa.com>Date: Thu, 20 Mar 2008 10:13:26 -0500Subject: RE: Customize IT Hardware / Software request Thread-Topic: Customize IT Hardware / Software request Thread-Index: AciKDKn5/BO0zGYYS7aswfvJuVYGnwAepxEWAAVY+9A=Message-ID: <EFD08A585E5E514C9E9ADF4CE3C968EB298D2744@sr0001.abc-usa.com>References: <EFD08A585E5E514C9E9ADF4CE3C968EB298D2620@sr0001.abc-usa.com><4C828C49-CC51-419A-B4E2-431B27E0FE5F@mimectl>In-Reply-To: <4C828C49-CC51-419A-B4E2-431B27E0FE5F@mimectl>Accept-Language: en-USContent-Language: en-USX-MS-Has-Attach: yesX-MS-TNEF-Correlator: <EFD08A585E5E514C9E9ADF4CE3C968EB298D2744@sr0001.abc-usa.com>MIME-Version: 1.0 If you have any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated.
