Replacing Exchange 2007 Edge with Exchange 2013 Edge

Hi Guys

I have a single server Exchange 2013 SP1 (CAS + MBX). I have an Exchange 2007 SP3 Edge on my DMZ. Mail flow works just fine right now. However, I implemented a Exchange 2013 SP1 Edge with the aim to decommission the Exchange 2007 Edge. However, when I turn off the Exchange 2007 Edge and redirect my firewall traffic to the new Edge, I can only get outgoing mail to work. The incoming mail is not working.

I have seen articles where I need to change the port on the Inbound Send Connector to 2525. I am not sure if this is necessary, because it works with the 2007 Exchange Edge with the default port 25.

Any advice is apprec

Hi,

Do you deploy EdgeSync for new Edge 2013 server?
If not, please refer to below link to implement it firstly. For your reference:
https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb738158%28v=exchg.150%29.aspx?f=255&MSPPError=-2147217396
We need 25 port to mail flow communication for internal and external. More details about Edge Transport server planning:
https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn641596(v=exchg.150).aspx

Meanwhile, please run below command to check the receive connector:
Get-ReceiveConnector | Format-List Name,Usage,AuthMechanism,Bindings,RemoteIPRanges
