Repeated pwd prompt (RPC) after WAN ip change (internet provider change)
Hi to all. After a change of internet provider (and a change of our WAN ip address) a password promt start to appear repeatedly in our Outlook 2007 client.I have done configuration check suggested in this guide http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb124649(EXCHG.65).aspx but i can't find the problem. When outlook startr prompt appear (more times) during the syncronization. The address reported on pwd prompt is not the server name but the address of rpc: "remote.DOMAIN.Ext" .Mail has been already downloaded when pwd prompt appear.I can access to OWA account without problem.Password prompt appear also if "Connect to Microsoft Exchange using HTTP" is disabled.Pressing cancel on password prompt messages are however downloaded but an error appear in "send/receive" dialog: Task 'Microsoft Exchange' reported error (0x8004010F) : 'The operation failed. An object cannot be found.'I think this is a Outlook client problem but i can't find solution. Also after remove and re-add Exchange profile and after Outlook re-installation problem exist.Did you have any suggestion?thankyou

Hi,It seems that OL cant find the OAB using the given URL by Autodiscovery service. Have you changed the respective DNS records with the new IP like autodiscover.domain.com etc?Have u tested Autodiscovery using www.TestExchangeConnectivity.com?Also it would be nice if you can post the result of "Test Email Auto Config" from your OL client. Plz post the result of Log tab from that test (or add a screen shot of the log tab).Regards,Laeeq Qazi|Team Lead(Exchange + Sharepoint + BES + DynamicsCRM) www.HostingController.com

I am realy sorry about this long delay. I have not sent any update because unfortunally there are no one. An in addition i can work on this issue only for few ours at month. I have just some additional information about this problem. As i said problem is born changing ADSL provider but now i can't understand nothing because after adsl chage there has been a failure on server that has been re-installed. Problem still exist on "older" client but i have i new (formatted)client that can't access on his old account wizard prompt me repeatedly for password that is surely correct but don't proceed with configuration. About AutoDiscoverTest I can't proceed with test because i have not a autodiscover.domain.com third level domain but we have not ever had those configuration on our dns. What i can add is that on new client (with old account) there is a litle different behaviour because i can see password propt only at startup(like it has not been saved) and then all works fine. But this is an Outlook 2010 instead other are 2007. In this last outlook i have configured account manually because automatic configuration doesn't work. I have configured it with INTERNAL exchange server name and other account paramenter.
