Removing servers from the exchange management console
Dear people. I installed exchange 2007 basic edition on a Windows 2003 basic edition server, At least i tried. This went horribly wrong So i wanted touninstall the exchange 2007 server completely. But unfortunly this to went wrong what let to just demote de server and format the harddrive (this was possible because it is a test server but it is in a working enviorment). The problem that i now face is thatI installed Exchang 2007 again on a fresh system this went fine but when i start up exchange 2007 management console i still see my old server. How can i remove this not correct uninstalled server? Any ideas? Thx in advance.

Hi, You should be able to use ldp or adsiedit - http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;278918 Be sure to have a valid backup of active directory before proceding. Leif

Hi, First of all thanks for your reply. I indeed removed the corrupted exchange server with adsiedit. Thanks for the suggestion. John
