Though that looks weird it is not very unexpected as well and I presume you are working on Exchange Server 2003. I can think of few possibilities like AD replication (if you have multiple domain controllers). You can run the ExBPA to see if there are any other troubles with AD and Exchange Communication. DCDIAG and NETDIAG would also help to figure out a problem place if at all it is related to Active Directory.Other than above, you can try doing the same from another exchange server or another computer installed Exchange System manager or Active Directory Users and Computers.M-Milind Naphade

Hi M,Are you able to see it in OWA or Online Outlook mode? If you don't then it must be an OAB issue and check below article (which is for opposite thing but procedure is same)...New user does not show up in GALhttp://exchangepedia.com/blog/2005/11/new-user-does-not-show-up-in-gal.htmlAmit Tank | MVP - Exchange | MCITP:EMA MCSA:M | http://ExchangeShare.WordPress.com

Hello all,Thanks for the info. I ran the clean up agent by right clicking on mailbox folder. After that mailbox marked with red then I can purge which deleted the mailbox. That part works. However, in my outlook i can still see the user name name in global Address list. Will that disappear after sometime or need to run some command? Thanks M
