Removing Exchange 2007 from AD/Domain and Snap-Ins.
Hi,I recently installed Server2K8 with Hyper-V. On that I have a domain S2K8controller with 2 x Exchange 2007 SP1 servers.I named them AKLEXC01 and AKLEX02. We decided not to use EXC02 and before I could stop my friend deleted the image for the EXC02 server. Now I have the server showing up everywhere but really its not there anymore. How do I remove it from my enviroment so that when I start the Exchange snap-ins I dont get poppup message saying EXC02 is unlicensed? I just want it all gone. Thanks for your help in advance.Quintin

Hi Quintin,Well, the proper way to remove Exchange 2007 server is to uninstall properly. I won't suggest you to do manual remove from AD with ADSIEdit.msc or with some other tool and it is also not supported.http://support.microsoft.com/kb/927464Recover the Exchange on a temporary server with /RecoverServer switch and uninstall it properly.Recovering an Exchange 2007 Server using the RecoverServer switchhttp://www.msexchange.org/tutorials/Recovering-Exchange-2007-Server-RecoverServer-switch.htmlAmit Tank | MVP - Exchange | MCITP:EMA MCSA:M | http://ExchangeShare.WordPress.com
