Removing Exchange 2003 role from SBS 2003 after Transition to Server 2003 Standard R2
We transitioned our SBS 2003 server to Server 2003 Standard R2 edition today. Upon completion, we noticed that the Exchange tabs are still showing up on Active Directory and there is still an Exchange management feature in program files. All of the Exchange services have been shut off in computer manglement/services, and Exchange no longer works. This is our Primary AD Controller for the domain, but we wanted to migrate it to install a secondsary AD controller at a later date. Note - Exchange was never setup on SBS 2003 for use. So we are not worried about moving mail boxes, etc. Does anyone know how to removethe Exchange features from this old SBS 2003 (now Server 2003 Standard)controller (particualarly from Active Directory)? Thanks.

In active directory right click on the affected users accounts that still display exchange tabs. When you right click from the menu choose exchange task. Run this wizard. You will have 3 to 4 options to choose from, choose remove exchange attributes. This will take care of your problem. Brandon MCSE/ MCSA Palm Beach, FL
