Removing Duplicates

Hey All,

i have an excel sheet that i scan all new asset into (Desktops and Laptops), once the Hardware is imaged i scan it again along with the New asset number into another sheet in the same workbook, so far this asset is Spare, and i can get numbers on how many i have spare and how many of that spare pool is imaged and ready to go to sites.

then we would box up for example 20 computers to send to XYZ site, i scan all these desktops into another sheet in the same workbook and assign the site name in the column next to the asset number.

i know need to remove all the desktops that has been sent out from the first 2 sheets as they are no longer spare assets and so i can get my counts correct.

is there an easy way to do so, i prefer no Macros but if i must then be it.

I think Power Query add-in can help you. It's a free add-in for Excel 2010, 2013 and Office 365 on the Professional Plus or Excel Standalone editions.

Power Query allows you to import, reshape and clean data with simple UI that will create a refreshable connection that does all the work for you without the need to use Macros. If you share more details on your requirements, the tables schemas and the scan operation (is it manually?), I can provide more details how to address your scenario with Power Query.

VLOOKUP allows easily to check if some data on sheet is also present on other.
