Remove public folders
My Exchange enviroment is setup as such, Ex2003 that has all users on it and public folders, Ex2007 that has no users on it was used to replicate public folders, Ex2010 we are migrating to. My Ex2007 box was attached to a SAN which is not longer around. The public folders for Ex2007 were on that SAN. When I try and uninstall Ex2007 I am getting "Uninstall cannot continue. Database 'Public Folder Database': Exchange is unable to check the public folder replicas for MX\Second Storage Group\Public Folder Database". MoveAllReplicas.ps1 has was not ran on the Server before the SAN went away. How can I uninstall Exchange 2007 from my environment?Jason

The database for 2007 is gone, went away when the SAN went away. The only place I have the database right now is on EX2003. Can I use that DB, if I can how do I do it? Jason

Yes there is a backup but I would need to look back 2-3 years to find it. Ed, Not sure what you mean the database still exists in Active Directory? Can you elaborate please? I know there are values in AD that point to it but not sure what you mean by "still exists in Active Directory" Thank youJason

I have moved the database using the move-databasepath with the config only switch. I am waiting on the backup to arrive. I hope this works. Thank you! Jason

I have nothing to mount to, there is no edb file. When I try and mount the database I am getting an error Exchange is unable to mount the database that you specified. Specified database MX\Second Stroage Group\Public Folder Database; Error code: MapiExceptionCallFailed; Unable to mount database (HR=0x80004005, ec=-1023) Jason
