Hi, We have a site with two Exchange 2003 servers and we are in the process of migrating to Exchange 2010 (2 HUB/CAS - 3 Mailbox - 1 UM). A colleague had the role of decommissioning the second Exchange 2003 server after moving all mailboxes to the new Servers. Unfortunately, although he removed all connectors and routing groups, he performed an uninstall of the server without removing the Public Folder Store on the second server and without removing the server from System Manager. Now I'm trying to remove the server and the message I get is this: "This public folder store is presently offline. Exchange Server cannot determine if the public folder store can be safely detleted. Unsafely deleting a public folder store can lead ot data loss and loss of essential functionality such as Offline Address List generation and Free/Busy informatiion. Bring the public folder store online and try again. If you cannot bring the public folder store online, and you want to delete it, manually remove the public folders store .edb and .stm database files from your computer, re-create the public folder store by remounting the database, and then try deleting the public folder store again". Bringing the store online is not an option since the server is uninstalled from Add/remove programs. Is there any way I can delete this Public Folder Store and the server? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for pointing out the right way. The exact solution in my case was the following and it is part of the url that you posted... "It is recommended to have AD (SystemState) Backup on any domain controllers, before you use ADSIEdit.msc at anytime. Then Open ADSIEdit.msc Expand Configuration Partition | Expand CN=Configuration | CN=Services | CN=Microsoft Exchange | CN=<Organization Name> | CN=<Administrative Group> | CN=Servers | CN=Information Store | CN=<Storage Group Name> | right clik on the CN=<Public Folder Store>, which is requried to delete it. This is only recommended if you have PF data on other servers."
