Remove from server after x days?..what if i do not download them?

Just a question that's bothering me for a couple of days...the question is asked before but there are no sufficient answers to that ...

i have around 120 email users and the email server is on the cloud...we use pop3 for fetching emails....

now on most of the clients i have set the "Remove from server after ____ days" property to 2 days for effecient use of thier qouta's on server..

Now if some one is off for say a week, what happens to their email on the server?..will they be deleted?

hope some one who has tried this will help..

Thanks in advance

Nothing will happen to those emails. They will be removed 2 days after they have been downloaded with that Outlook client. If you don't start Outlook after those 2 days, they can't be removed either. They will then be removed the next time that you check for new emails with that Outlook client.
