Remove exchange 2007, The operation could not be performed because object could not be found on domain controller
Hello, I'm in the transition process from Exchange 2007 to Exchange 2010. I about to finish, all mailboxes are working ok in Ex2010, server roles have been removed from old Ex07 server. Now I want to completely remove Ex07 by uninstalling the management tools and exchange files though, I get this error: The operation could not be performed because object 'SERVERNAME' could not be found on domain controller 'DC.domain.local' Can you help me? Thank you!

So all the 2007 server objects are removed from AD? All that is left is the management tools? If so, I wouldnt even worry about it.

No, the Unified Messaging is still there somehow. The thing is that I want to use that server for Exchange 2010 as well and to do that I have to remove everything from Exchange 2007. Otherwise I get: 'There is a previous version of exchange installed on this...' Thanks

Hi, Try the following steps to remove exchange server 2007 from your computer: 1. Logon to the Exchange server, and then Stop and disable the Exchange 2007 services. 2. On the Exchange server, navigate to the Exchange 2007 installation CD. 3. In the root folder of the Exchange 2007 installation CD, we clicked on ExchangeServer.MSI and right click to choose Uninstall. After that, all Exchange installation files will be physically removed from this server. @Gen Lin In step 3 I get a message window only with Ok button and title: Update Rollup2 for Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack.. When I click Ok, windows are closed and nothing happens.
