I have installed Exchange 2007 32-bit with a name Mail2.domain.com for testing purposes on my Test machine Server 2003 two month ago. One week ago the HDD on this PC corrupted and I have reintalled windows again but because of corruption of HDD I could not unistall Exchange. Now when I installed Exchange 2007 64-bit for production it still see the old MAIL2.Domain.com server on the servers list and gives me errors about database coruption of this server. I caanot remove it from the Management console. As I see AD is keeping this information and I need help how can I remove all information about this Mail2 server from AD?? Where this information is kept in AD to clean it??? Thank you in advance

you can remove old exchange organization from adsi edit.Open ADSI Edit and then navigate to: Configuration > Configuration -> Services > Microsoft Exchange > Exchange organization > Administrative Groups > Exchange 2007 administrative group > Servers >MCSE,CCNA,VCP,APP

Thank you very much I have removed this servers as you explaned so this is the only way to remove exchange servers if there will be an error or incorect uninstall and servers data will kept in AD?? So now I will reinstall existing Exchange server ?? Or this old server will disapeared from the list in Management console?

Hi,After you have removed all the Exchange Server related information from ADSIedit,I recommend you to run ExBPA to have a checklist scan and then install Exchange Server.The old Exchange will disappear from the server list in EMC.Regards,Xiu
