Remove Exchange 2007 made changes in AD manually
I had Exchange 2007 running, last week it crashed & sum one formated that server now i installedexchange 2007 again on windows 2008 but it prompt me many errors related to previous exchange organization evens it takes up with the previous mailboxes & databases, when i try to uninstall it prompts me another errordatabase not foundand I'd rather not rebuild the domain (obvioudly thats in production). new exchange server takes up all the configurations & databases, mailboxes etc & they have no existence now Does anyone know what the process would be to clean up AD (remove the Exchange org) without having the Exchange server to do an uninstall on? Help Me Out.... BRegards

You cannot manually remove Exchange 2007, which is not either recommended. The only supported way to remove Exchange 2007 isuninstall it properly. If server doesnt exists then you can install a temporary server with same name and run setup /m:RecoverServer to recover the crashed server and once it is recovered then uninstall it properly. first of all thanx amit for your positivereply... well i have tried all these things but all are in vain, recovery of exchange server fails everytime i try to & there is no any related event in event logs my frnd can you plz tell me how can i roll back my AD or Schema ? i know there is sum way to roll back the schema but i dun know how to do that kindly help me out. review the link below & there is mentioned abt roll back of schema http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa998313(EXCHG.80).aspx
