Remove Exchange 2003 front end servers
Hi we have 3 load balanced exchange front end servers that we no longer use in our Org. We use 2 x HT/CAS Exchange 2007 servers now in their place. We still have users on Exchange 2003 on a cluster. Most users are on Exchange 2007 now though. It is safe to simply uninstall Exchange 2003 from the front end servers and then remove them from the domain? I have had the servers powered off for one week and their have been no complaints! Thanks!

Hi,I trust that you have moved all the services being used in your env from exchange 2003 front-end to exchange 2007 CAS like OWA, POP, IMAP, Rpc over HTTPS and also if it was being used for any other purpose apart from exchange front-end (non exchange- very unlikely though)Also, you have turned off the servers for one week and no issue is reported. So, you can go ahead and decomission these servers by uninstalling exchange 2003 and then these servers can be removed from domain.-V
