Removal unusable mailbox.
I need to uninstall Exchange Server 2003 due to an upgrade to Exchange server 2007. So I have done all the requirement to do so, but when i go to uninstall Exchange 2003 it states that their are mailboxes still in use. After looking what mailboxes are still in use they end up being mailbox i don't need. But when i try to delete the mailbox the Exchange task are missing. I am unable to delete or remove the mailbox by any means. Is there a way to delete the mailbox or turn it off so i remove Exchange server 2003.Thanks

Try to remove the exchange attribute in ADUC or from Exchange 2007 console and then try to delete them.Raj

The mailbox is located on the Exchange 2003 Server; I am unable to see the mailbox from the 2007 Exchange tools. If there is another way to uninstall Exchange 2003 without removing the mailbox in question then that will work also.

Hi,If Exchange 2007 and Exchange 2003 coexist in your environment, then we should can find the legacy mailbox from Exchange management console. Please try to move mailbox from 2003 to Exchange 2007 and then follow the steps in article below to transite all the data in exchange 2003 to exchange 2007.Transitioning from Exchange 2000/2003 to Exchange Server 2007 (Part 1)http://www.msexchange.org/tutorials/Transitioning-Exchange-2000-2003-Exchange-Server-2007-Part1.html Upgrading to Exchange 2007http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb124008(EXCHG.80).aspx<!---->Regards,Xiu
