Reinstalling 2007 Transport Server
I'm in the process of removing my last 2007 server after the 2010 upgrade. It's not letting me remove the MBX role because there are still public folders present. I already removed the transport server role so the PF will not complete the replication. I'm trying to reinstall the transport server role on my 2007 mailbox server. It is stuck at "Stopping the Health service". It's been that way for two hours. This last 2007 server is running SP2 (build 8.2.176.2). I'm thinking that I may need to bring this up to SP3 to get the install working. Thoughts? --Patrick

I was able to get it done. I had several PF's that would not replicate because one of my remote sites didn't have a hub transport server. I fixed that today. All of the replicas except for two finished. I couldn't get them to go so I used the brute force method and killed the public folder entry in ASDI. I was able to remove the server after that. I am now 100% Exchange 2010. Thanks for the help.--Patrick
