Reinstall Client Access Role in Exchange 2007.
I need to reinstall the Client Access Role but I am not able to from Add/Remove Control Panel as it is "greyed out". Also, cannot install from Exchange 2007 SP1 CD because gives me error: Client Access Role Preequisites "Fail". Error: A reboot from a previous installation in is pending. Please restart the system and rerun setup. However, I have restarted with same result. I know there are some Exchange Shell commands you can run by I am not that experinced with I am supposed to try and run and what entries I need to put specific to my server/domain, etc. Is there anything I could so with IIS7 to fix problem. I have removed enteries with the remove commands in Exchange Shell and then tried to create new ones but received the following: [PS] C:\Windows\System32>Get-OwaVirtualDirectory -Server exchange Name Server OwaVersion ---- ------ ---------- Exadmin (Default Web Site) EXCHANGE Exchange2003or2000 [PS] C:\Windows\System32>Remove-OwaVirtualDirectory -identity "exchange\owa (def ault web site)" Remove-OwaVirtualDirectory : The operation could not be performed because objec t 'exchange\owa (default web site)' could not be found on domain controller 'tv ppd.*********.local'. Hi,So why dont you go for complete uninstall of CAS and IIS7 and then reinstall IIS and CAS back. Any ways with CAS uninstall, you dont loose any data. Have a look into this http://www.experts-exchange.com/Software/Server_Software/Email_Servers/Exchange/Q_24054327.htmlRaj
