Good morning I doubt we have the following I want to redirect an email address from my domain to another without defining this in my organization, user or group Basically I want to behave like a linux aliases file but with rules of transportation. Is this possible? I made the following test Since the rules wizard Transportation, I created a new rule: Sent to prueba@domain.com redirect to prueba@gmail.com When you send a message to prubea@domain.com the server returns the following error. How are you redirecting? Using outlook rules or server transport rules? Redirecting to external address is not enabled by default due to security concerns. For redirecting emails to external address, you must have autoforward enabled for that domain by adding it as a Remote domain. Also, this works only with outlook. For adding forwarding address on server, you must have a contact created for that email address.

Here is a way, you can create a contact in exchange with your external Address. You configure your mailbox or DL in the delivery option to be deliver to the contact. This should work Regards Ron

Hi Jorge, Agree with Ron, it is a good idea to create a contact when you want to send an email to a foreign email account. And here are some good articles for you, How to Create a New Mail Contact: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa997220(EXCHG.80).aspx Understanding Recipients: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb201680(EXCHG.80).aspx Best regards, Serena Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
