Recover deleted items and Exchange 2013

Hi All,

Running Exchange 2013 on Server 2012 R2.

Ive noticed that when I create an email message and let it sit for a while (in testing over 15 minutes) and then send the email, in my recover deleted items, there is a copy of this email message.

I am guessing that for some reason it creates a saved copy of the email and then when I send it, outlook deletes the copy and puts it in the recover deleted items.  I have verified it is not just me and other users are seeing the same behavior.  When did this start to happen with outlook??

Thanks

This is normal and shouldn't hurt. This is typically if an email stays in draft and eventually sent after some time. The message in draft is deleted then.

Thanks.

Is this something new?  I've been working with Exchange since 5.0 and never have seen this.  Back in the day I always enabled DumpsterAlwaysOn in outlook so just wondering why this behavior all of a sudden.

Cheers.
