Recover Messages Sent to a Distribution Group
We have a Mail Enabled Universal Distribution group consisting of two recipents. Mail messages were not being delivered to the recipients, because, I believe, the properties were set to receive mail only from authenticated users. This mail address is used on our website so needs to receive messages from outside of our company.I set the properties to accept mail from everyone, so now the group is getting emails. What about the messages that were received prior to making the change? Is there a way to retrieve those messages? When I look in the log it shows the messages are there and were received. But I have been unsuccessful in retrieving these messages, apparently Export-Mailbox does not work with distribution groups.Do I have any options for retrieving those messages?

Your application does have a mailbox where it receives NDRs andother DSN's, doesn't it?>When I look in the log it shows the messages are there and were received. Sure. But "received" and "delivered" aren't the same thing.>But I have been unsuccessful in retrieving these messages, apparently Export-Mailbox does not work with distribution groups. No, it doesn't. A group isn't a mailbox.>Do I have any options for retrieving those messages? From the sender's mailbox.---Rich MatheisenMCSE+I, Exchange MVP --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP
