Recover Deleted Mailbox
Yesterday, I deleted a user in SBS 2008 and today the client is asking for the email messages of that user. How can I recover this mailbox in Exchange 2007 or is there a way in SBS 2008? I don't see it as a disconnected mailbox even after running a clean
up on the mailbox database.Microsoft Partner

Hi,
Some time in exchange 2007 disconnected mailbox take time to appear, for this you have to run this command : Clean-MailboxDatabase
<database name>, if already this command has been run & still the mailbox it not showing, kindly have a look on no. of day set before
permanently
deletion the mailbox. In this case mailbox can be recovery from exchange backup if
available.Ripu Daman Mina | MCSE 2003 & MCSA Messaging

I have already run this command and the mailbox is still not there. The number of days till permanent deletion is set to 30 days so I am not sure why I am not seeing this mailbox...
Does anyone else have any pointers?Microsoft Partner

Hi,
Checked if the users mailbox was actually available on the database
Get-MailboxStatistics -Server <server> | where { $_.DisconnectDate -ne $null } | select DisplayName,DisconnectDate
If it is existing, please connects the Mailbox to a user
Connect-Mailbox -Database "Mailbox Database" -Identity "<GUID of the mailbox>" -user “<user to whom the mailbox needs to be connected>
Thanks
Allen
