Hello, I've restored an old database in Exchange 2003 using the recovery storage group option, thing is if I right-click on 1 mailbox I can reconnect the mailbox to the user, thing is I need to to 100's, is there a quick way round this? If i hold shift or use the control button to select more that one mailbox I dont get the reconnect option from a right-click, just a help option. Thanks

HI, As I remember you can only have option of "reconnect mailbox" If you select single mailbox. You can use "swap" option if you want to reconnect all mailbox's in the DB. How to recover or to restore a single mailbox in Exchange Server 2003:: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/823176Anil

You need to find all the match accounts for all the disconnected mailboxes firstly and then you could select all the mailbox to reconnect. EMC>Tools>Mailbox Recovery Center>Select all the mailboxes and Right click Find Match>Select all the mailboxes and Right click Reconnect Thanks Your expertise never fails to impress!

Are you trying to use this EDB to overwrite the previous EDB in production or to just recover mailbox content from the EDB into the existing mailboxes? if the latter you may want to check out DigiScope http://www.lucid8.com/product/digiscope.asp since it was take the recovered EDB and do a SingleTouch restore from all of the mailboxes within the EDB to the Live Production Exchange server.
